Bel-Air Bay Club Wedding Photographer
The Bel-Air Bay Club is an amazing ceremony and reception venue for brides and grooms who would like the best of a beach wedding and the best of a country club wedding combined in a single venue. Working as a wedding photographer at this location is an absolute dream. This location was built during 1927 and 1928 by Alphonzo Bell. Although few photographs exist of Bell, he was also instrumental in building the neighborhood of Bel Air, its famous country club, and many other notable Los Angeles area properties. During the 1920's, 1930's and 1940's, the Bel Air Bay Club was the center of social activities for Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades.
In terms of wedding photography, the Bel-Air Bay Club has two separate facilities. The beach venue includes a quarter mile beachfront. However, the more popular wedding ceremony venue location is the Upper Clubhouse. It offers some spectacular beach views of Santa Monica Bay and Catalina Island. From a photographer's perspective, I see the Bel-Air Bay Club as a combination of Hollywood glamor and Spanish influenced luxury.
Although this wedding venue is absolutely gorgeous, it does pose some challenges. However, as I've photographed weddings here in the past, I've already recognized and overcome those challenges at previous events lending to my overall experience as a wedding photographer.
