Today I began coverage of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) meeting held here in Los Angeles. This convention includes the who’s who of the Internet world. My task today was to photograph the ICANN Board of Directors and several staff members. Some of those notables include Vint Cerf, Peter Thrush, Roberto Gaetano, Harald Tveit Alvestrand, Susan Crawford, Dennis Jennings, Thomas Narten, Rajasekhar Ramaraj, Wendy Seltzer, Jean-Jacques Subrenat, and Bruce Tonkin. You’ll note that I used a little edgier style of executive portraiture than my typical style and incorporated some heavier shadows.

Brian stopped by my home studio today for a few of my signature executive portraits. Unlike most portraits I usually take in this style, he needed the photographs in landscape format instead of my more common portrait (vertical) format.

Tonight I had the pleasure of photographing the Citrus High School Class of 1957 at the NHRA Museum on the Los Angeles County Fair Grounds in Pomona, California. It was really amazing to see so many of these folks. The most interesting part for me was each reunion attendee had a name badge with their own photo from their high school days. As a photographer, it was really neat to see how much or how little some of them had changed over the course of 50 years! Here are a few portraits from the event.

I just love Judith and Lucia Friedericy. Judith designs and molds the heads of these dolls while Lucia handles the bodies and props. They’re such a great team! They came by again today for another round of photos.
