I drove over to Old Today today to take a quick stroll through the Pasadena Antiquarian Book, Print, Photo and Paper Fair held at the Pasadena Convention Center. Afterwards, we grabbed at bite at the Pasadena Yard House in the Paseo. The food we ordered appeared so scrumptious that I had to grab a few quick photographs. To tell the truth, I’d love to do more work as a food photographer!
I had yet another shoot with Lucia Friedericy today capturing a few photographs of her latest custom doll creations. And I also found out that one of my photographs of her dolls from a previous session is gracing the cover of the current issue of the Toy Shoppe catalog.
So my fun with product photography continues–this time with food! A couple of these photographs feature my favorite breakfast from Noah’s. And no, it’s not the doughnuts! The last black and white photograph is of my family silver. And the reason I converted it to black and white is because it was tarnished and I didn’t want to break out the Brasso!
I was thrilled to be the wedding photographer for Brittany and Jared’s wedding! They are such a great couple! Their ceremony was at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Covina and their reception was at South Hills Country Club in West Covina.
I was looking through my archives today and came across this black and white portrait of Javier. I took this during the my transition to digital photography. Even though I can tell that the technical merits of the image aren’t up to my current standards (due to the camera I was using), I still very much like the drama seen in this photograph.
This was the first time that I’ve photographed a wedding at The Ebell Club in Long Beach, California. It’s a really beautiful venue that offers some extraordinary afternoon light in their main hall. Wendy and Mike are such a fun couple to photograph. And although Mike likes to pretend he’s a grumpy guy at times, Wendy knows he’s just a big teddy bear at heart!
