Alhambra Photographer
As an Alhambra photographer serving the area, I find local history quite interesting. In 1874, Benjamin Wilson bought 275 acres of state-owned land at $2.75 an acre. He divided the tracts and named his venture "Alhambra" at the urging of his daughters who had been reading Washington Irving's book about the legends of the Moorish palace in Southern Spain called the "The Alhambra." Photographers visiting Alhambra today can find many subjects of interest including easy access to easy access of beach and mountain resorts, Dodger Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Los Angeles Convention Center, and the California Museum of Science and Industry.
