Nature photography is the passion that sparked my professional career. To this day, my favorite pastime is spending time in wilderness areas or within lush gardens, sometimes with the clicking of my camera's shutter my only company, breaking the silence of the day.

Flora It's difficult to photograph flora in interesting ways and create an image that stands within the artistic realm. And for this reason I strive to focus on small aspects of my living subjects, sharing my vision in new and original ways through subtle framing and the creative use of depth of field. Fauna Unlike subjects found in my portrait photography, fauna is subject to unique whims, most often outside the control of human direction. It's been my goal to see these living things with a new eye and share my artistic viewpoint with others who can appreciate the wonders of nature. Landscapes As a landscape photographer, I take a broad view of my environment and then work to position my camera in the ideal location at the ideal time. Yosemite National Park Yosemite National Park is inspiring in ways that can never be fully expressed through words or mere photographs. Yosemite is my muse. I've felt no greater joy than the freezing solitary morning I spent photographing my own version of Ansel Adams' Clearing Winter Storm. Grand Canyon National Park Although I visited the Grand Canyon National Park as a youth, I didn't appreciate its grandeur until I returned as an adult photographer. Just as in every truly magnificent natural wonder, one can gain only limited appreciation through descriptions or photographs. I was humbled before the abyss.
