I adore this sequence of photographs from Linda and Ace's wedding reception that show them cutting their wedding cake and having a great time in the process. For wedding photographers who may be interested in how this photograph was created, I was using both on camera flash and an off-camera flash on the stand to the right and behind the couple.
Because the width of the room was so narrow and because I was surrounded by so many guests, I really didn't have much room to move, but I made sure that I was in the best possible position to capture the best photographs during the sequence. After they finish cutting the cake, I use my patented method to create additional interest in the sequence by asking Ace to place a tiny piece of frosting on Linda's nose. After she did so, I then asked Ace to lick it off. As you can see, the resulting expressions were priceless.
