This was one of the first weddings ever photographed at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, California.
And I must say that it couldn't have happened with a nicer couple. Pictured here, this bride and groom are walking toward the ocean hand-in-hand along the boardwalk that runs perpendicular to the beach. Behind them, they walk away from the Annenberg Community Beach House, and toward the Pacific Ocean. The surf, the sand, and the blue sky complements this dramatic setting. The only disadvantage to this location is that it is public, and depending on the season, you may often find beachgoers camped out on the sand surrounding this area. For this wedding, I was lucky because we were alone on the beach.
If I remember correctly, I was either sitting down or laying down on the boardwalk so that I could obtain a lower angle and focus on the sky and clouds rather than on the obvious ocean. Note that direct the bride and groom to look at each other as they walked away and I captured them in this apparent midstride. I believe that the simplicity of this photograph makes a powerful
