Over the past decade that I've been photographing weddings, many couples have shared that one of their favorite times during the wedding day is when they make their exit after the ceremony.
Some mention a sense of joy while others mention a sense of relief but in all cases, no matter the demeanor of bride or groom, everyone is smiling and happy at this moment. For this Pasadena wedding, the bride and groom exited the First United Methodist Church between their guests in a flurry of blown bubbles.
If you're contemplating a bubble exit, there are few things that you should consider. First, you need to give the guests plenty of warning as to when the exit might occur so they can be begin blowing the soonest possible. It's also great if you can get the guests to practice blowing bubbles before the exit occurs, because blowing bubbles is harder than you might expect. And since the last time many folks have blown bubbles was when they were a small child, those skills are likely quite rusty. Also, you might want to include a few bubble guns in the midst of regular bubbles. The bubble guns can really spit out a lot of volume and that can be helpful in creating a magical moment.
