Los Angeles Workshop Details
Here you'll find location-specific details for my Los Angeles SEO Workshop. Check back often for updates.
Please see my SEO Workshops for Photographers page for general information that applies to all my workshops. This page is dedicated to information relevant to this location only.
Rob Greer's Studio
1439 Las Lunas St, Pasadena CA 91106
[street parking is free and plentiful]
The best hotels in Pasadena are the Westin, the Hilton, and the Sheraton. The Holiday Inn Express is a relatively inexpensive alternative and you'll be able to say, "I'm not an SEO expert, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night." The least expensive hotels are the Lincoln Motel, Rodeway Inn & Suites, The Travelodge, Saga Motor Hotel, and the Super 8 Motel. You can also check nearby Airbnb locations. Check your favorite travel website for additional information.
My guest bedroom is also available for $200 per night. There's no turndown service, daily cleaning, or room service, but I'll provide you with a wakeup call.
Bottled water is available for all attendees. Just grab one when you're thirsty!
There are two Starbucks locations nearby. The location at 161 N Hill Ave (Hill & Walnut) has easy parking. The location at 743 N Lake Ave (Lake & Orange Grove) is busy most mornings and parking is sometimes difficult. However, the Lake Ave location has a drive-through window with a long line.
There are certainly other nearby coffee shops, but I don't know their names or locations because I only drink Starbucks coffee—a grande 3-pump mocha with whipped cream to be exact.
You're on your own for breakfast. The best and least expensive nearby breakfast place is a quaint diner called The Reyn. The chicken friend steak and grits are awesome. That's why I'm fat. The other two best breakfast places in Pasadena are Marston's and Russell's.
I'll provide you with lunch each day from Corner Bakery Cafe. You can build your own sandwiches with smoked turkey, ham, roast beef, roasted chicken and D.C. Chicken Salad, with Swiss and cheddar cheeses, fresh condiments, and an assortment of freshly baked breads. Caesar salad and a delicious assortment of homemade chocolate chip, oatmeal currant, sugar, and monster cookies will be available.
You're on your own for dinner, but after the first day of class, I'll arrange for a cool place for all of us to break bread if you're interested.
When you come to my workshop, you’ll meet my best friend. Her name is Newt and she’s half Beagle, half Golden Retriever (Beago). I adopted her from a rescue a few years ago.
When you ring my doorbell, she’ll almost certainly bark ferociously. But please don’t let that worry you. She’s super sweet and she’s just excited to greet you. She’ll stop barking as soon as you step inside.
Although Newt is very well-behaved, if you’re allergic to pets or if you’re not a fan of dogs, please let me know prior to the workshop.
I like to keep the thermostat at around 70 to 72 degrees so if you get cold easily, please bring a sweater or a light jacket.
The optional pre-workshop, no-host mixer will be on Monday from 6:00PM - 7:00PM at my home studio at 1439 Las Lunas St, Pasadena CA 91106 (you guys can certainly go mingle or grab a bite somewhere else afterwards). If you happen to get in early and want to come by and introduce yourself, we'll be glad to see you. Please RSVP if you think you're going to make the mixer.
If not, we'll see you on Tuesday morning at 9:00AM. Hope you're excited and ready to learn!
