Houston Studio: Arts District
My Houston photography studio is located in The Silos at Sawyer Yards in the Washington Avenue Arts District.
Located just three minutes from Houston’s downtown business district, The Silos at Sawyer Yards is a creative community housed in a former grain silo facility where 97 photographers, artists, and creatives work daily.
My studio address is:
My photo studio is perfect for most product photography, individual headshots, and editorial portraits. It measures 14' x 23'(322 square feet) and boasts 14' ceilings plus a large skylight.
The studio is climate-controlled, professional, organized, secure, private, and offers shared bathroom access.
COVID-19 Safe Studio Protocols
Local, state, and federal health guidelines may limit our interaction. I've therefore implemented firm but necessary preventative health measures and policies.
I only schedule one in-studio photography session per day. I don't schedule overlapping sessions.
When you arrive, I'll take my temperature and your temperature with a no-touch thermometer. Temperatures 100.4 degrees or greater require a rescheduled session. Also, if either of us appears ill, we'll reschedule the session.
Before we begin, you'll be asked if you've had a fever, chills, cough, nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of taste, loss of smell, or sore throat in the last 14 days. You'll also be asked if you've been near anyone with those symptoms in the last 14 days. Any affirmative answer requires that we reschedule.
I frequently disinfect studio surfaces like doorknobs, stools, hand mirrors, lighting equipment, and cameras. I encourage everyone to only touch their own belongings and that only I open and close the studio door.
Proximity increases exposure risks, so I maintain maximum-possible distances. For portrait photography, I avoid physical touch unless you can't satisfactorily adjust your clothing. When adjustments are required, I'll first ask your permission.
I'll wear an N-95 mask when you're present. I'll wear gloves on request. I ask that you wear a mask too. Please bring your own.
Enter the building through the front door only. Other doors are locked at all times. For weekend or evening appointments, please call when you arrive as the front entry door is locked.
Plentiful free parking is always available. If the front lot is full, additional parking is available to the side and rear of the building or at 2101 Winter Street.
