Houston Studio: Arts District

My Houston photo studio is in The Silos at Sawyer Yards in the Washington Avenue Arts District.

Located just three minutes from Houston’s downtown business district, The Silos at Sawyer Yards is a creative community housed in a former grain silo facility where 97 photographers, artists, and creatives work daily.

My studio address is:

1502 Sawyer St #141
Houston, TX 77007

My photo studio is perfect for most product photography, individual headshots, and editorial portraits. It measures 14' x 23'(322 square feet) and boasts 14' ceilings plus a large skylight.

The studio is climate-controlled, professional, organized, secure, private, and offers shared bathroom access.

If your project requires a larger studio or amenities I can't provide at my downtown studio, I'm also available for on-site work at your location or at a rented studio.

COVID-19 Safe Studio Protocols

Local, state, and federal health guidelines may limit our interaction. I've therefore implemented firm but necessary preventative health measures and policies.

When you arrive, I'll take my temperature and your temperature with a no-touch thermometer. Temperatures 100.4 degrees or greater require a rescheduled session. Also, if either of us appears ill, we'll reschedule the session.

Before we begin, you'll be asked if you’ve had any COVID symptoms in the last 14 days including chills, congestion, cough, diarrhea, difficulty breathing, fatigue, fever, headache, muscle or body aches, nausea, new loss of taste or smell, runny nose, shortness of breath, sore throat, or vomiting. You'll also be asked if you've been near anyone with those symptoms or if you’ve flown via commercial carrier in the last 14 days. Any affirmative answer requires that we reschedule.

Proximity increases exposure risks, so I will maintain a maximum-possible distance from you given the surroundings. For portrait photography, I avoid physical touch unless you’re unable to adjust your own clothing. When wardrobe assistance is required, I'll first ask your permission to approach and touch your clothing.

I'll wear a mask when you're present. I'll wear gloves on request. I ask that you wear a mask too when you're in our building and when you're not being photographed. Please bring your own mask.

Studio surfaces like doorknobs, stools, hand mirrors, lighting equipment, and cameras are disinfected regularly. However, everyone is encouraged to only touch their own belongings and that only I should open and close the studio door. Only people directly involved in your project may be present. Studio guests aren’t permitted.

Entry Instructions

Enter the building through the front door only. Other doors are always locked. For weekend or evening appointments, please call when you arrive as the front entry door is locked.

Plentiful free parking is always available. If the front lot on the west side is full, additional parking is available on the north side. There's also more parking behind our buildings and additional overflow parking at 2101 Winter Street.
