This album portfolio showcases an award-winning wedding album from just one of the weddings that I've photographed at one of my favorite wedding venues, the Ambassador Mansions and Gardens in Pasadena, California.
The album itself reflects my typical and minimalist album design techniques. When viewing the images in this portfolio, note that when printed, each image represents two pages in an album. In the actual wedding album, an almost imperceptible vertical crease appears down the middle of the images. This particular album received an Accolade of Excellence and an unofficial 4th place ranking at the 2013 Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Conference in the Print and Album Competition. This album is particularly noteworthy because of the extremely large wedding party and the Korean tea ceremony.
Young-Gi and John's wedding party included 46 bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearers, and flower girls (including the maid of honor and best man). It was after I photographed this wedding that Ambassador Mansions and Gardens added me as their recommend photographer. They specifically cited that I was able to capture scenes at this venue that had never been done before. In fact, almost every wall of the venue features photography from this wedding and almost every bride who books this venue asks their wedding photographers to copy my creations.
