This Ambassador Mansions and Gardens bride and groom were so happy on their wedding day and that joy is reflected in this photograph taken within the Pasadena Merritt Mansion. The bridegroom is actually standing in front of a window just to the left of the groom, but I used the magic of Photoshop to extend the wall and create a wide area of negative space instead. As you can see by viewing the rest of my photography portfolio, I enjoy the use of negative space to draw the viewer into important areas of the scene.
Although this is a very simple photograph I think it's powerful because it establishes a measure of feeling between the bride and groom. I particularly love how the fancy wall sconce is the only element on the otherwise clean background. This Orange Grove estate is one of my favorite venues and I look forward to continuing to work there as the recommended photographer.
