Andy Baker is a Senior Design Engineer at FMC Technologies. He started at FMC Technologies in 2011 and prior to that he was an engineer Baker Hughes International. Andy’s current role at FMC Technologies is designing subsea wellheads. In the oilfield industry, a wellhead is used to provide the structural and pressure-containing interface for drilling and production equipment—and that’s pretty damn important. In fact, if pressure is not contained during drilling operations, a well blowout could occur. Some of Andy’s hobbies include reading, hiking, and boating. Originally from Monroe, Louisiana, Andy attended Louisiana Tech University. He lives in Shenandoah—a small community on the northern outskirts of Houston, Texas—with his wife and two children.
Location: Pasadena, California.
