Magazine Portrait

When creating portraits for magazines, it's important to leave negative space around subjects.

In this example, space is left above if the image so that it can be used for a magazine cover. I've also left space to the right of the image so the the editor can include the photograph on an interior spread with supporting text to the right of the subject. In that case, the photo editor may choose to crop and remove the top half of the documentary image.
