Nathan White, Personal Trainer

Nathan White is a Personal Trainer who coaches on fitness, lifestyle, and nutrition at Equinox Fitness Clubs. When Nate was a young boy, he wanted to be a basketball player. But today, his favorite sports are a bit more physical; he loves to follow the San Francisco Giants, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the LA Kings. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing outside, hiking, playing guitar, writing poetry, baseball, reading, working out with kettlebells, and eating peanut butter. And when he’s in front of his television, he loves Seinfeld, Apollo 13, The Blues Brothers, and The Natural along with all Star Wars, Star Trek, and Indiana Jones films. He’s also a sucker for anything starring Clint Eastwood or Steve McQueen. Nate’s most prized possession is his music collection which includes over 1,200 albums featuring lots of jazz and blues but also country music from Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, and Daughtry. He also loves Van Halen, The Who, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Black Keys, David Gray, ZZ Top, Flogging Molly, and Foo Fighters. In line with his love of music, if Nate could meet one person, living or dead, he’d love to spend time with Stevie Ray Vaughan—the man who inspired him to learn guitar. In life Nate likes to stay in the background of things and selectively picks his spots engage. He tends to be the quiet guy who takes time to get to know even though he’ll sometimes spew random knowledge that even surprises everyone. At work, he’s particularly good at challenging his clients physically and cognitively, helping to keep exercise fun and engaging at all times.
