Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA)

For privacy-conscious clients, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), also known as a confidentiality agreement or secrecy agreement, is available.

This agreement creates a confidential relationship between us.

If you need me to sign an NDA before we discuss your project details, that’s no problem. There’s no fee for a basic NDA.

However, when I create photographs, I grant you the right to use the photographs for any purpose in perpetuity. Similarly, you grant me the right to use and publish your photos for editorial, trade, advertising, and photographic competition. This means that I can display your photos on my website or on social media.

However, if you cannot allow that, I offer extended NDA options that include a full buyout of all rights (including copyright). With an NDA, I’ll never display your photographs, disclose your name, or publicly discuss your project.

This is sometimes applied as a Full Buyout for Portraits or Full Buyout for Events. Commercial photographer and product photographer projects have a different full buyout pricing model and that’s determined on a per-project basis.
