If you ever Montecito and you're looking for an amazing hotel experience, you should certainly consider San Ysidro Ranch.
The property includes dozens of bungalows offset from each other that provides guests with an intimate and private experience. Also, the ground themselves are immaculate, broad, and varied providing an almost arboretum-like feel.
This photograph features a couple just moments after their first look. I truly love the spontaneous move by the groom to lift his bride's hand and kiss it gently. Although some photographers may direct their couples to do this very same thing, this was a truly candid moment where I did not influence the photograph at all in terms of the couple's actions. That being said, some of the things that make this photograph meet the criteria necessary to place it in my Favorite Photos category, include the framing of the bride and her head within the door frame, the greenery that perfectly surrounds the couple, and the overall framing of the scene by the tree branches.
There is a funny little story that I like to share about this couple. I met the bride several years earlier when she hired me to take her match.com portrait. But apparently she didn't need it, because her groom picked her up in a grocery store. As a story was related to me, he was standing in front of her in line and he couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Then he did something completely amazing. As she left the store, he approached her, told her she was beautiful, and asked if he could buy her a cup of coffee. She agreed, and the rest is history.
