Castle Green Photographer

Built in 1903, Castle Green was originally part of Hotel Green and today is one of the oldest standing historical landmarks in the Los Angeles area and is a favorite venue for weddings. As a wedding photographer in Pasadena, I love photographing weddings at this venue where I can showcase Castle Green's wrought iron elevator (the oldest on the West coast), hand carved mangles and moldings, and original lighting. Although only certain areas of Castle Green are available as a wedding venue, the Spanish and Moorish styling of the interiors combined with the feel of Old Town Pasadena make this a must-see location for consideration if you're planning your ceremony or wedding reception. The exterior features architecture unique to the Mediterranean Revival movement that looks amazing in wedding photography.

Originally designed by Los Angeles architect Frederick Roehrig, Castle Green was originally known as the "Central Annex" of Hotel Green but in 1924, the Central Annex was divided into fifty apartments and renamed the Castle Green. The Castle Green is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #: 82002196), the California State Historic Register, and the City of Pasadena's List of Historic Places. So when you're looking for area wedding venues, and you're searching for wedding photographers who are familiar with this location, I hope that you'll consider me!
