I use a blend of artistic, documentary, editorial, traditional, and photojournalistic styles when I photograph weddings. My style of wedding photography is most often called "mixed style" and can meet the needs of most couples.

In addition to taking a look at the work found in my wedding galleries, please take a moment to speak to me on the phone or meet me in person. This is important because I recommend careful consideration of my personality. You should really be sure that you'd like me to be part of your wedding day. You'll soon learn that my ability to interact beautifully with you and your guests is a critically important consideration when selecting me as your wedding photographer.

In terms of my overall approach, when possible I strive to blend in among your wedding party and guests, capturing the minor and major moments of your event as they unfold. However, I'll take an active role when I direct the creative and traditional portraits of the bride and groom, wedding party, and family groupings. You should also be sure that I'm more than just talk and fancy words. One thing that can help with that is reading a few testimonials from individuals and couples who've worked with me in the past.

When you hire me as your wedding photographer, I take it upon myself to assist you in whatever way possible to help ensure your event is the most beautiful day of your life. Telling the Story

If you'd like me to capture the story of your wedding, certain photographs are essential. As a professional photographer, I've heard countless examples of wedding photographers who've taken excellent photos but failed to capture key family members or events during your day. You can be assured that I have the requisite experience to not only capture these traditional photography moments, but also weave an artistic photographic story that you'll treasure for years to come. In addition to candid, photojournalistic, and lifestyle photographs, I'll also spend time taking traditional family portraits. All of these groupings will be photographed quickly and with a sense of spontaneity, providing you with meaningful and realistic record of your time together. My style of photography is highlighted in my magazine style wedding albums which are included with many of my wedding photography packages.

Creative View

I consider communication key in ensuring that you'll love the photographs that we create. Although brides and grooms sometime find it difficult to articulate preferences in relation to photographic style, I encourage you to communicate with me visually prior to your event. It's often helpful if you provide me with magazine photos taken by other wedding photographers or e-mail me imagery that reflects the essence of what you hope to achieve on your wedding day. This communication feeds my creative process and inspires me to create special imagery while focusing on the styles you prefer. This approach will provide you with a personalized collection of artistic images.

Wedding Photography Coverage

When I'm photographing a wedding, I don't use a prepared list of photographs. With my many years of experience and ability to view any occasion with a photographer's eye, I work from my own plan, capturing the events of the day naturally. However, I'm often asked about the specific types of photographs I sometimes capture on your wedding day. With purely educational goals in mind, I've developed a list of the types of photographs I often capture at weddings. $2,400

• This package includes up to six (6) hours of coverage for your wedding and up to two (2) hours of engagement session photography. In most cases, I'll usually capture between five hundred (500) to one thousand (1000) photographs on your wedding day.
• This package includes an engagement portrait session. These pre-wedding portraits often feature the bride and groom romantically posed at a favorite nearby outdoor location. During the engagement session, which can last up to two (2) hours, I generally capture between one hundred and fifty (150) to three hundred (300) photographs. You'll receive a DVD containing these digital images following your engagement session. I'll also provide an online photo gallery featuring those photos. This online gallery allows you to share the photos with your friends and family. Once posted, the gallery will remain online for at least one hundred and eighty (180) days. For more information about the importance of the engagement session, please see my article titled Importance of the Engagement Session.
• As part of this package, you'll be provided with electronic files representing every photograph taken on your special day. In other words, after the event I'll provide you with a DVD-ROM containing your high resolution digital negatives. Your DVD-ROM will also include reduced size files that are suitable for making additional 4" x 6" prints as well as for viewing and sharing on most computers.
• I'll personally adjust every single photograph taken at your wedding. In other words, I will evaluate every photograph from your wedding--one at a time. After my evaluation, I'll make adjustments to exposure, white balance, tone, and contrast in each photograph. I'll also crop every photo to ensure that that exposure is perfectly stamped to my unique vision of composition. This attention to individual photographic detail isn't offered by other photographers. If you select me as your photographer, you can be certain that instead of receiving a series of unmodified and lifeless files, every one of your wedding photos will be exposed to my unique vision.
• With this package you'll also receive an online photo gallery all of the photos from the wedding. This online gallery allows you to easily share the photos with your friends and family. Family members will also be able to purchase these photos online and/or order enlargements. Once posted, the gallery will remain available for at least one hundred and eighty (180) days.
• This package includes the following photographic prints: five hundred (500) to one thousand (1000) 4” x 6” photographs from your wedding day plus one hundred and fifty (150) to three hundred (300) 4” x 6” photographs from your engagement session. This means that you'll receive a professional quality physical photograph representing every image taken during your engagement session and at your wedding. Each photo will feature a white border and black key line enhancing the elegance of the presentation.
• This package includes a 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" book-bound photo album capable of storing up to two hundred (200) 4" x 6" photographs. This album is wrapped in fine black cloth and features a window on the cover and an accent ribbon tie. The interior pages are toned soft white and provide archival storage for your photographs. This album makes for an excellent presentation of your favorite wedding photos.

This second photographer will help me capture aspects of your event that are otherwise sometimes missed by a single photographer. Please note that the second photographer will be available for a six (6) hour period of time during your event (your choice of time period covered).
• As part of this package, you'll be provided with electronic files representing every photograph taken on your special day. In other words, after the event I'll provide you with a DVD-ROM containing your high resolution digital negatives. Your DVD-ROM will also include reduced size files that are suitable for making additional 4" x 6" prints as well as for viewing and sharing on most computers.
  I'll personally adjust every single photograph taken at your wedding. In other words, I will evaluate every photograph from your wedding--one at a time. Additional Coverage for Your Wedding

If you require additional hours of photographic coverage beyond what's included in your package, I'm happy to extend my services at an hourly rate of $300 per hour which includes fees related to the additional photographic processing and prints that will then be included in your package. Additional photography is also available in half (1/2) hour increments at a rate of $150 per half hour. If you think that you'll require additional coverage on your wedding day, please let me know prior to your event to ensure my ability to remain on premises for that additional time. Photographic coverage by the second photographer may also be extended at a rate of $125 per hour. It's important to note that based on your venue location and the studio's transportation arrangements, extending coverage may require the inclusion of the second photographer rate if you elect to extend my coverage.

Additional 12" x 12" Album Pages

If you're purchasing a package that includes a magazine style album, you may wish to increase the total number of 12" x 12" pages included in your album. Since I need to add two pages to accommodate each page spread, pages must be purchased in multiples of two (2). If you think you may wish to include additional pages in your album prior to singing your agreement, then you may pre-purchase page spreads at a 33% discount. This means that pre-purchased page spreads (e.g. two pages) are only $100 each versus $150 if purchased after the wedding.

Parent Albums

If you'd like to have additional hardcover copies of your magazine style / flush mount albums as gifts for friends, family, or even for yourself, I'm happy to also offer copies of your primary album as an additional option. Please note that the content of the parent album is an exact copy of the content found in your primary album. For the 4" x 4" and 6" x 6" parent albums, you'll receive multiple copies of each parent album as indicated in the table below. Each hardcover parent album features a dust jacket.

Album Storage / Presentation

All of my albums are delivered in a standard storage box. However, many clients prefer a more elegant presentation for their primary album. In lieu of the standard storage box, you may elect to purchase a small suitcase, specifically designed to store your primary album. This leather suitcase, similar to a small briefcase, provides you with a protected environment to store your most important photographs for future generations. Your investment in this storage suitcase is $99.

Wedding Photo Slideshow

If you'd like me to display a short slideshow of select images taken the day of your wedding during the reception, I also offer that option as an additional service. As part of this service, in addition to selecting the photos, I also provide the equipment necessary for the presentation (e.g. computer, projector, and screen). This presentation does not include music; therefore your band or DJ should be aware of the presentation if you wish to feature music coverage over the montage. The price for this additional service is $500.

Engagement Session Only

Engagement Sessions are designed to provide you with intimate, informal, and fun photographs. These photos are taken in the weeks or months prior to the wedding ceremony. This session provides you with beautiful images for gifts and invitations as well as offering an opportunity to create a unique display for guests the day of the wedding. You may choose up to one romantic setting of your choice. Please note that fees for extended travel may apply. Please note that this session is included in most of the standard wedding photography packages found above. For more information on preparing for your engagement session, please review my article on Getting Ready for Your Engagement Session. Your investment in this session is $400 and includes:

• This package includes up to two (2) hours of photography at a single location.
• I generally capture one hundred and fifty (150) to three hundred (300) photographs during the course of this session.
• With this package you'll also receive an online photo gallery featuring the photos from our session. This online gallery allows you to easily share the photos with your friends and family. Once posted, the gallery will remain available for at least one hundred and eighty (180) days.
• In just a few days, you'll be provided with all photographs in high resolution JPG format on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. These electronic files represent your digital negatives.
• If you later book me to photograph your wedding, this package will also then include the following photographic prints: one hundred and fifty (150) to three hundred (300) 4” x 6” photographs from your engagement session.
• Depending on the date, time, and location of your session, extended travel fees may apply if you are not within a 10 mile radius of my location. Also, depending on your location selections, you may be responsible for obtaining permission and/or permits for location photography (i.e. beach sessions, hotels, public locations, some parks); however, when necessary, I'll be glad to assist you in obtaining the appropriate permissions and/or permits.
